4:40 General question: why do these cloths and rags always come in clown colours? Same with push pins and other household/office items. Are the manufacturers trying to spice up our lives or something? My chateau (apartment) doesn’t need screaming colours, it needs tasteful balance. I’ve always wondered why we –rightfully – all obsess over every detail in the living room, but in the kitchen apparently anything goes.

Our 1050 acre estate is no Chatue but we have a Historic home here in Pennsylvania. 6 fireplaces. 3 fireplaces are double fireplaces. 2 bedrooms share 1 fireplace so all 6 bedrooms have a fireplace the 12.500ft home is kept at 72 degrees. At night 65. The 3 big fireplaces throughout the main living spaces burn throughout the day & evening.
