We have access to high quality sandwiches made with French and Italian bread, not mushy wonder bread, and there is no reason to cut your crusty baguette or banh mi sandwiches.
Next time try picking the whole sandwich without cutting. Then you can finish it with small bites. Whole world follows this method and will portray you as a normal person if you also follow it.

Ok, but why not cut it in half? You can do it horizontally or diagonally. If you cut the corners, it's gonna cause issues as you cut more off.
