Why is is called “Blanc”? It is a Chardonnay. Other Chardonnay wines from that region seem to be simply Burgundy (with specific village/Chateau).
Warehouse supermarket is like a lottery. you never know what you'll find in the wine aisle or in the whiskey aisle. I have found some absolute bargains over the years.
My location has the Macon-Villages from this producer for like $12 or less if I remember correctly. Great stuff!

Maybe difficult to say but would you be expecting more from a burgundy from a french supermarket or from an American grocery store?
