  1. I always laugh at their pricing. I have never paid over $60 for the Ama, and only $35 for the Produttori (this is getting overpriced)

  2. Just bought 3 bottles of Chateau Giscours 2022 in magnum ! yei !!!!! For sure they will be opened in 2035 at the earliest

  3. Interesting list. Good to see many US wines on the top 10. Good to see too that critics are using other factors to have more affordable wines on the lists.

  4. I always find it hard and unjustifiable to rank white and red wine together. I think there should be different lists for them.

  5. Thanks for your review of the list. I was at Chateau Giscours in 2024. I will have to see if I can find the 2022 anywhere.

  6. Always great to get your knowledgeable commentary, John! The 2022 Giscours is indeed very special, but the 2022 offerings from other Margaux chateaux (in particular) and other Bordeaux producers in general are typically also delicious. Glad to be on my way to spending much more time in Bordeaux in the near future!

  7. Always enjoy your videos. I have a few from this years top ten, I haven’t tried any of them yet. I think the wine spectator top 10 is a good guide, it introduces people to wines they may not know. I used to try and chase down as many of the top ten that I could in the past. I ended up finding a lot of them overrated

  8. The Ridge Lytton Springs bounces back and forth between Zin and Red Blend as the Zin percentage hovers right around 75%. We sell the 2021 Red Blend for $90 in our little tavern. We also have the Wayfarer wf2 which I'm told comes from the younger vines, but still all from the wayfarer vineyard (which as far as I can tell really is a group of non-contiguous small parcels).

  9. How do you compare this Giscours with 2022 D’Issan? I just opened a 2022 D’Issan and liked its great structure but it definitely needs some time aging. I’m hesitated to open this Giscours I’m afraid it’s too young.

  10. $90 for Giscours.😳 Spectator gave Brane Cantenac 93 Points.🙄 I think the wine shops added for Tariff, even though they ordered futures without the tariff.
Suckling didn't even rate the Beau-Sejour Becot.

  11. The best wine I have ever tasted was, as I remember, a Ridge Zinfandel blend of Petit Syrah, Merlot and Cabernet Franc, I think it was a ‘74, but I could be off a few years.

  12. Wine Spectator has turned into just a big hype machine for American wine, I wouldn’t put any American wines in the Top10 this year.

  13. I dont understand why they should care if a wine is widely available…..a wine should speak for itself. Sounds like a marketing ploy.
