In today’s video, I’ll take you to Gordon Ramsay High. The newest restaurant in Gordon’s empire, and currently the tallest restaurant in Europe.
Once, opening a new Gordon Ramsay restaurant would’ve been global news.
But times have changed. London’s dining scene is more competitive than ever, filled with new names, bold ideas, and extraordinary talent.
So, the question is simple. Is Gordon’s name still enough?

Gordon Ramsay’s legacy is undeniable, I’ve had mind-blowing meals at his fine dining spots. But after years of frozen meals and fast-casual joints bearing his name, even when people suggest his Michelin-starred restaurants now, most will pictures celebrity branding not culinary artistry. It’s not that the quality’s gone, it’s just that the image has shifted.
So when you wanna take someone to a truly special place, you’re just not thinking “Gordon” anymore.
Ramsay has held 17 michelin stars. so yeah he knows his shit. this video is pretty much pointless.
anyone paying over £500 for a bottle of champagne has lost the plot
This is food for people with more money than sense. It reminds me of a meal I had at Rules in Covent Garden 30 years ago with tiny portions so small I was still hungry at the end of the 3 course Sunday lunch. I had to have a sandwich just so I could feel I had actually eaten something. I never want to go to another pretentious restaurant like that again
IMO, Never thought Gordon Ramsey was all that. Many people have jumped off the all hail GR wagon. Too many bad reviews from his plethora of restaurant chains. He is the original idiot sandwich! Don't like him at all.
This guy is extreme 😂😂😂
£ 1.700 for two? 😮
Alexander, you have top level memes for a boomer. Beautiful.
Ignore the pfp
What's the chance of you visiting aruba there's a lot of fine dinning restaurants here
Gordon is a genius?
alexander has an extremely obnoxious personality and voice, I wonder what happened in his childhood
incredibly excited for the new channel!
I wonder how does he get to the restaurants? Does he get invited or requests to dine and film? any answers?
Does the reviewer pay the bill ? Or does he get meals, rooms for free ?
New drinking game: Take a shot everytime Alex orders a KRUG
I would still be hungry
Wtf is liquid lettuce??😂
I can guess from the name, but that sounds more like a gimmick than actual food😆
go to "gordon's fish n chip" in times square, tell me if his name has meant anything at all, for awhile
Ramsey is just passe these days in the fine dining world…and he’s interested in making home cooking shorts now anyway
WHERE IS THE LAMB SAUCE
Prices for a Burger and Fries at Ramsey's place in Las Vegas is about $30 to $50 US depending on whether it's just regular beef or Wagu. Even though it's Vegas, the prices are outrageous.
Was that guy at 4:50 really wearing a baseball cap inside the restaurant though? Is that no longer considered a faux pas?
Can get 3-course lunch at Petrus for £45. Obviously a different vibe, but if I want to eat at a Ramsey restaurant, there are far more inexpensive options
what wine glasses brand were those
the seating is horrible.
I’m sure the food is delicious but I prefer to eat in ‘normal’ and relaxed places. To me, this is all a bit wanky.
Feels odd that they add the 15% on the whole bill including the wine too. I know we're not somewhere to watch the pennies here – but I thought that service charge on fine wines was genuinely an optional extra. If you order a £4000 bottle of Petrus – are you really expected to tip an additional £600 to have it opened and served? Feels like the service charge ought to be 15% of the food/water bill – so a (still not bad) £80 as opposed to the (what I consider over-the-top) £230.
Gordos name makes it a joke.
You can also find the wankers name on frozen food now.
chives on every dish….
Had no idea this restaurant even existed…
The trouble with Gordon is his name is on everything. Even now in Burger King.
He needs to have a rebrand for Gordon Ramsey high end stuff.
E.G
GR instead of Gordon ramsey
I would have sent that Dover sole back – now way dover sole should be tough and need pulling apart like that – it's a soft, delicate fish – looked very overcooked to me.
all you do is whine with your little glasses
Nia Nia Nia Nia im eating in fancy restaurants but my standards are fancier.
STFU man we mortals are eating bread and stale cheese watching this
The meal for two was £500, not too bad considering where you are and the quality of the food. People are commenting on the fact that the one bottle of champagne cost more than a meal for 2. What I find interesting is that high end restaurants like this one likely make more money just by pouring a liquid out of a bottle into a glass then they do by making the food. They spend years and years learning their craft, buy the best quality ingredients and it still goes for less than a bottle of wine with bubbles that any idiot can buy and drink themselves at home if they have the cash.
As much as I love these videos (subbed and liked) and as much as I like to splurge for my wife and I on a nice meal, spending a mortgage payment on one meal would be the height of irresponsibility. Likely why it’s so easy to get seats there. That said, I will continue to watch and enjoy during my lunch break. Thank you, A.t.G for your amazing content. 😎👍🏼
I am a Canadian munching on a fried baloney sandwich for dinner. Watching you eat this beautifully prepared food, drinking Krug and savouring every single bite, was divine. Thanks for sharing your experience with me. I needed that.
If I'm paying that money I am certainly not willing to be seated like that.
$289 USD tea cup and saucer [originally, from company], if anyone wanted to know.
