Wine aficionados, this one is for you! I drove out to Tours, France, to meet with longtime friend Cathy Henton of Le Tasting Room. She runs a top-notch Loire Valley wine tour business with her husband Nigel out of their home and I was their guest for the day. We talked about what you can expect on a Le Tasting Room tour, some wine basics, what organic wine making is all about, sulfites, and more. It’s an easy 55-minute day trip from Paris.
As I mentioned in the video, I have no affiliation with Le Tasting Room. I took a wine tour with them back in 2010 and it was so fantastic that I still rave about it today and have stayed in touch with Cathy and Nigel ever since. There’s nothing pretentious about how they conduct their tours. Even if you don’t know much about wine, you’ll be at ease, so don’t feel intimidated. You’ll learn all about wine, have a wonderful lunch in their home, and then go out to meet the producers and taste the wines.
