  7. No creme fraiche? this does look richer. This a great dish to bring to Thanksgiving dinner party. There will be no left-overs. It's that good.
    Also, It's good to serve with filet mignon.

    Similar to the dish that my aunt baked in her oven. Assembly line of my mum peeling the potatoes, then passed along to my aunt & myself to put them thru the food processor, then onto my other aunt to layer it into her baking pans with cream sauce of onions & cheese then popping it into the oven. 50th wedding anniversary…that was 30 yrs ago.

  9. Whenever I have tried to cook "other" versions of this, my potatoes are often not fully cooked through. Seeing your method of adding the potatoes to the milk+cream etc. mix, whilst on the stove, makes more sense. I like that you simply spooned out the potatoes as opposed to the tedious layering of one slice after the other..
    The finished dish looked so invitingly delicious.
    🥔 Two questions : why do you recommend letting the cooked dish sit for an hour before serving ? 🥔🥔 Does the dish end up being warm or luke warm or cold ?

Well, that and the insane dairy to potato ratio😹. ) There's no better treat than a meal that should come with a cardiologist's phone number! THE POTATOES RECIPE LOOK DELICIOUS, BUT BECAUSE IN THE USA,THINGS IN THE GOVERNMENT ARE ABSOLUTELY MESSED, THE FOOD IS GETTING WORSE IN PRICES WE DONT KNOW WHAT TO GET INESPENSIVE ARE NOT VERY GOOD, AND THE EXPENSIVE GROCERIES ARE SKY HIGH,SO PLEASE DO YOU HAVE RECIPES THAT ARE EASY ON THE MONEY,😅
