Omg! So true! I just came back from Paris and our apartment was Litteraly like 5 yards away from the louvre and we came there a few times to see the Mona Lisa and it was crazy! We were in line outside waiting for so long and we got caught in a hail storm! And then I thought the Mona Lisa was huge until I saw it and then the painting across the room is huge but I had never heard or seen it before I went to see the Mona Lisa! I was standing exactly where u are to take a picture and it was so crowded and so hard to get just a few pictures
I was lucky to see La Joconde many times without all these security when i was a kid (no glass and not that far). But honestly i don’t understand why all people glue to see it. There are many arts in this Museum
I was surprised to see how small it was lol and i found that some of his other paintings were more beautiful than the mona lisa. I wonder why this particular painting of his became so popular.
