Loved the “A Higher Call” book reference to Sabaton’s No Bullets Fly. Absolutely incredible story, amazing book, and an even better song. Well done Sabaton, well done.

This was fascinating to watch. I originally saw the video and saw plenty of comments in the video I watched claiming that Pär was a wargamer. I wasn't sure if this was speculation so I theorised some of the items on the shelf were Easter eggs by the set designers. I'm glad to be wrong in this case, hearing the story behind a lot of these items being personal additions by the band members was really interesting. As a 40k Ork player myself, I'm glad the rumours were true! Seeing some of Joakim's book collection was cool, and seeing the effort that went into painting the Napoleonic miniatures was astounding. I'm just old enough to remember using metal miniatures and enamel paints, thought I never combined the two. Although the video looked like a lot of hard work it looked like a good time was had and the end result is amazing. Good job!

I would 100% be interested in the card game Pär is creating.
This is one of the very rare songs that, when you listen for the first time(s) to them, puts a big f* smile on your face once the pre-chorus hits. And then it gets bigger when the actual chorus starts. Actually happened to me, until I shouted along on repeat. One one of my all-time-favourite songs instantly, thank you.
That being said – there is another holy Emperor on a golden throne! Let me dream of a Warhammer-EP, it would be glorious!

You should totally get back into playing again, we are quite a lot of people in both Falun and Borlänge playing lots of different boardgames and miniature wargames. Biggest of course being the Games Workshop games, 40k in particular, but also a few other games.
Unfortunatly not many that play more historic games, at least some of us used to play Flames of War (ww2) but that was a long time ago. But I'm allways up for some historic games! 🙂

Random fact: during the battle of Waterloo midway through, Marshal Ney nicknamed Bravest of the brave by Napoleon and one of the hero’s of Russia, launched several cavalry attacks, leading them in person, issue was he was attacking without Infantry, smth he’d be criticized for and as people now say “throwing” the battle
