CHEESE CORN ROLLS
Ingredients – For the Filling
• 1 cup sweet corn (raw, unboiled)
• ½ cup grated paneer
• ½ cup grated cheese
• 1–2 green chillies (finely chopped)
• ½ tsp oregano
• ½ tsp chilli flakes
• ¼ tsp black pepper powder
• ½ tsp chaat masala
• Salt to taste
• Fresh coriander (finely chopped)
• Optional: 1 tbsp pizza & pasta sauce
Ingredients- For the Roll & Slurry
• Wonton sheets (or thin homemade chapati/roti)
• 1 tbsp corn flour or maida (for slurry)
• 1–2 tbsp water
• 1 tsp oil (for brushing)
Method
Step 1: Prepare the Filling
In a mixing bowl, combine sweet corn (raw, unboiled), grated paneer, grated cheese, and chopped green chillies.
Add the spices in the same bowl – oregano, chilli flakes, black pepper, chaat masala, salt, and fresh coriander.
Mix everything well until the ingredients are evenly combined.
Optionally: If you prefer a tangy flavour, you can also add some pizza & pasta sauce at this stage.
Step 2: Prepare the Slurry
In a small bowl, mix corn flour (or maida) with water to make a smooth, thick paste.
This slurry will act as a sealant to hold the rolls together.
Step 3: Assemble the Rolls
Place a wonton sheet (or chapati/roti) on a flat surface.
Place some of the prepared filling into the centre and roll it tightly.
Apply the slurry along the edge of the sheet and press gently to seal.
Step 4: Air-Fry the Rolls
Lightly brush oil on each roll and place them in the air fryer basket.
Brush a little oil inside the basket as well to prevent sticking.
Air-fry the rolls at 150°C for 12 minutes, or until they turn golden brown and crisp.
Step 5: Serve
Once done, remove the rolls from the air fryer and allow them to cool slightly.
Optional: Garnish with chopped spring onions and serve hot with ketchup or mayonnaise.
