  1. Relais de Venice in Port Maillot has always been my favourite place for steak frites in Paris. You should also check out 'Robert et Louise' in Le Marais – another AMAZING steak restaurant well worth a visit

  2. Do you order your steak frites at these places saignant or a point ? I like it in between, which is difficult to order in France.

  3. Your French pronunciation is rubbish. It's not "Steak Freet" for instance. (I've been living in Paris 24 years) It's more like "Steak Fritt". I can't watch any more. The ignorance is annoying.

  4. Sorry, but La Bourse et la vie is highly over-rated, IMO. We went there last week based on this video and our bill was 170€. We shared the 4 appetizers (2 oyster half shells, 2 boiled egg halves, leeks and sauteed mushrooms), two steak frites and we shared a chocolate mousse. The american waiter (from NY) made us think that we could not omit or change the appetizers because "it was included in the price", even though we didn't care for any of them, and only came for the steak frites. We're not wine drinkers, so we just had still water. It was also the only restaurant in a week long stay to ask for a tip. I can only assume they've raised their prices because of this video. In fact, the couple that came in behind us said they were there "because of that youtube video". The steak was good; the fries were average… So, IMO, would not recommend…

  5. Dear Sir, I would appreciate advice on Sunday restaurant that serves a good steak & reasonably priced if possible. ( €40 or below)

    Thank you

  6. Love you guys !! Amazing videos always , can you do a video about the best coq au vin restaurants ? This is one of my best dish and i never know where to eat it when i am in Paris , keep up the great job !

  7. love your videos! looking forward to my trip coming up next month and have a reso at La Bourse et la Vie. What cuts of steak did you order in this video?

  8. Love your videos, thank you! What is the music you all play in the background. It so reminds me so much of our trips to Paris.

  9. The two of you are annoying! That is a fact. However, you do provide some valuable tips and that is why I'm subscribed. There is a real point that you have to correct…you cannot not justifiably condemn restaurants near tourist attractions in one video and then promote others near a tourist attraction in others. Well, of course you can, but your hypocrisy removes all that you are trying to accomplish – INFLUENCE! #influence #notinfluence #annoying

  10. We just tried La Bourse et la Vie, and it was the most incredible meal overall on our trip. The service was impeccable, the waiter and waitress were incredible and she gave my partner and I a free dessert on her. They asked us how we heard about it and we told them your video and they loved it. This will be our recommendation to future Paris travellers for sure.

  11. I ordered steak frites at Le Sarah Bernhardt in Paris and it was absolutely inedible. Shoe leather would have been more tender and tastier.

  12. OMG and they say French portions are small?? So much food! But it all looks great. Makes me laugh when people from the US visit France and have portion anxiety.

  13. Unfortunately La Bourse et la Vie has doubled the price of its steak fries to €48 I presume due to demand. Disappointed to be honest.

  14. Thank you for the recommendations! I used many of your videos to plan our family trip to Paris that we just wrapped up and it was amazing. We got a reservation to La Bourse et La Vie 👌🏻 Those eggs and the steak frites, so good 😊

  15. I live in Alsace. Have never had a steak frites here that comes up to Paris or Lyon. We like it saignant, but it does not ooze – is nice and pink but nothing much emerges to soak the frites in. I am always wondering why?
They also usually serve it drowned in a sauce. I prefer to add the sauce myself – how should I ask for the sauce separately?
Love this video, am now thinking of hopping on the tgv just for one of those lovely steak saignants.

  16. At 18:60 you do want that steak more cooked though as according to a doctor I was talking to, the blood of animals is not great for our blood and is the source of many diseases like cancer, etc.

  17. (Dijon) Moutard with pate? YES! Another thing, less known, that goes well with pate is Cumberland sauce!

  18. Guy at 2:38 on right served me yesterday 😂 I recognise him 😂 He obviously still works there 😂
P.s hoping to try La Boarse tomorrow. So long as they do it for lunch as my flight back is 6:50pm.
BTW added 2 photos to my YouTube as a post. It was the same guy for sure. He was really nice. 🙂

  19. I don't know if brasserie lazare is as good as you show, but from trying to check their menu and where they were in the station on their site, without success, I have a bad feeling about the whole place… plus, when I saw the price for the saucisse purée, I reacted 'really a rail station brasserie', using the travelers as a captive customer base and inflicting inflated prices on them.
