  2. I’ll give this one a try, though my white onions are in vinegar. The freshness of the lettuce in this dish should be nice.

  3. I always find it interesting how Koffmann doesn’t like salted butter. For anyone doing this recipe salted butter is genuinely fine and I prefer it, but Koffmann says that it gives an offputting odour apparently.

  4. Lol. Throw away the greens and eat the ham just like it is and you have saved yourself some time. Why would anyone cook this up, is beyond me.
