✨ Whether you’re learning at home, on your commute, or during a coffee break – this episode is here to help you immerse in Hebrew naturally and joyfully.
In this episode, we’ll sip on a surprising question: can a little alcohol actually help us speak a Hebrew better? From Shavy’s own adventures in France and Italy, to a funny Ig Nobel Prize–winning study in Holland, we’ll discover why confidence — not perfection — is the real key to learning. Along the way, we’ll hear why Israeli bats prefer to stay sachi (totally sober), and why every mistake in Hebrew is worth celebrating. All that, plus simple and cheerful Hebrew about science, courage, and finding joy in the journey.

A great sign your channel is growing! The number of comments is increasing, and soon it will become hard to reply to everyone. Congratulations, Shevi!
So Glad for a new episode! I will watch it a bit later, after work. I've only entered to leave this comm and wish you all the best & Shana Tova!!
I’m very grateful for your videos. I don’t understand everything yet, but you speak slowly and clearly, which really helps me not feel so scared of Hebrew (😅כמעט). I’ve noticed that I’m starting to feel less overwhelmed by Hebrew than before.
Step by step…
Thank you❤️
Much respect to you for earning your Doctorate Ph.D degree. 🙂
Lol, I'm a "sachi"! 😅
Those drunk bats remind me of the episode of Bugs Bunny where he says abracadabra hocus pocus and sprays the bat with bug spray🤣🤣
I really love your positive energy. You are radiant and your podcasts are always exciting and fun. Your diction is perfect and I understand almost everything. Do you teach in person, and if so, is it in Tel Aviv or elsewhere? I will be in Tel Aviv soon for a few months, and I would love to join your class (but I hate Zoom). Thank you for your videos 🥰🥰🥰. Nadine (from France)
I think you're great and I am interested in your school but I think the link is incorrect; it links to wordwall
You know what makes you the best channel? because we learn the language and general useful information at the same time.. In Arabic we say(عصفورين بحجر واحد) two birds with one stone❤
if you go to the language channel called "French Facile," the presenter named Michael speaks very slowly and clearly which can help people learn. <3 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o6SyaX2gML8
I'm 20, made aliyah and am struggling to learn Hebrew, love this channel!
Haha that’s a great topic! 😅 alcohol can definitely help you let go of the overthinking 😂
I learned hebrew in 1987-1989 and since then I did not speak hebrew. I’m glad I can understand most of the thing you say. You speak clearly and slowly. That’s nice. I am going to Israel next month. I hope I will have the chance to practice my hebrew.
Shana tova !
