👇🏻RECIPE:👇🏻

– 3 – 4 lbs beef roast (chuck roast)
– Salt
– Pepper
– 1 (10.5 oz) can French onion soup
– 2 (14.5 oz) cans Beef Broth
– 2 (1 oz) packages of Lipton dry Onion Recipe Soup & Dip Mix
– 1 package Swiss or Provolone cheese
– Crusty buns (I like Costco’s ciabatta buns)

Generously salt and pepper your meat on both sides and put it in a slow cooker. Sprinkle the meat with the onion soup mix. Pour in the beef broth and the can of french onion soup. Cover and cook on low for 8 – 10 hours, or on high for 4 – 6 hours.

When meat shreds easily with a fork, shred the meat and put it back in the juices. Set oven to broil.

Toast your crusty buns in the toaster and add the meat on one half orf the bread, and the cheese on the other. Sprinkle salt on the meat. Set in the oven until cheese bubbles. Usually within a minute or so.

Serve with juices from the slow cooker as au jus for dipping.

INSTANT POT VARIATION:
Or you put it in an instant pot and cook for 60 – 80 min and let it natural pressure release for 20 mins. The general rule of thumb is to pressure cook for 20 min per pound of meat.
