I'd be interested in your opinions of the French products from Trader Joe's that you haven't already tasted. Those galettes look tempting. And I agree with you about their baguette: Not the same as baguette tradition en France, but it's good for what it is!
The drawing your children made is adorable. Have you made a video about books you read with them in French? Or bilingual books that you like? So many picture books published in Europe generally, and in France specifically, seem to have such a different register/tone when compared to their American counterparts. I think it's really fascinating. (And I'm always on the lookout for picture books in French that work well as readalouds for toddlers/preschoolers/early elementary kids. If you have recommendations, I'd be delighted to hear them!)
It’s fascinating to me the way our voices change when we code switch. Your American voice sits higher in your register than your French voice, which makes absolute sense but still so cool to witness.
