  1. How to make Kaiserschmarm… try to make pancake. Fail. Fuck it, Kaiserschmarm. (I love how our boy can’t miss, so he has to cut up a perfectly reasonable pancake instead.)

  2. As a kid I thought food could explode if mixed incorrectly, which kept me from exploRing freely. This fear sabotages my cooking to this day.

  3. For all the people out there liking their Kaiserschmarrn with Raisins: it's 100% better if you soak them first in a bit of apple juice before putting them into the pan 🙂

  4. I am always so happy when you post. I know and wish things could be better for all of us but just know that you make people happy and should in turn be happy because of it. ❤

  5. When I was a kid I wasnt allowed to do anything in the kitchen. One day when my mum was out I decided to make a chocolate cake. Being inexperienced I dumped all the ingredients into one bowl, including a stick of butter fresh from the fridge that was rock hard. I couldn't mix it and I didn't know what to do. I called my dad in to help and he laughed at me, but fished the butter out to melt before adding it back in. The cake turned out alright. Till today over ten years later he still makes fun of me for being dumb and not being able to cook. I have moved on from then but he has not 😂

  6. Why does everyone add raisins it doesn't complement the fluffy texture well it does not taste better with the raisins

  7. As a child me and my brother created two crazy recipe thanks to the lack of rules in our mind about cooking
I still cook them a lot and they are comfort meal that everyone who hear about them calls weird and everyone who tries them loves

  8. My Austrian grandfather used to make this, but somehow actual lemon-lime soda was involved? I don’t know if that was some kind of strange bastardization that he came up with or what lol

  9. We went on a school trip to Austria and I tried this and oh my god was it delicious. Apparently it was originally made as a meal with lots of carbs and energy for all the climbers etc

  10. My dad's "fancy" idea of a treat/dessert was mixing light cream with brown sugar then dipping some of his mom's freshly baked bread in it the same way you'd do with olive oil. It's surprisingly good, and works best with a denser (smaller air pockets) bread.

  11. Im austrian, and i was shocked when you explained what that dough should have been

Have to say tho that you definitely redeemed yourself, Mahlzeit

  12. The first I has ever heard of this was watching a show with Arnold Schwarzenegger and he mentioned it..literally like 1 week ago…phone is listening??
