République – A Modern French Plates Served In A Striking Space With Communal Tables

624 S La Brea Ave
Los Angeles, CA 90036

This cozy restaurant was highly recommended by other locals in the area so we decided to drive about 45 minutes to LA. We arrived a little after 9AM on a Saturday morning and there were about 15 people ahead of us in line. We were totally expecting this so we arrived fully aware.

We were expecting the restaurant to be a typical sit-down restaurant but a very friendly gal in front of us in line told us the line was to actually get to the cash register to order and we seat ourselves. The inside of the restaurant looked really crowded so we were concerned there wouldn’t be enough seats for the both of us, but luckily there were a few tables open by the time we ordered.

Valet for $8.5 and $11.50 at dinner or find street parking.

The menu was so overwhelming! There were so many tasty items and it was hard to decide.

Brioche French Toast Served with vermont maple syrup – $17.00
Shakshouka – Wood oven- Baked tomatoes & peppers, farm eggs, black kale, chickpeas, yogurt, baguette – $17.00
Matcha Green Tea Latte- Sweetened with condensed milk – $6.00
Cappuccino – $4.50

Service was excellent. Couldn’t have asked for better waiters.
