Welcome to the first episode of my French Toast series, where I turn homemade breads into delicious breakfast favorites!
In this video, I used my soft and fluffy homemade sandwich bread to make a traditional-style French toast — simple, sweet, and golden.

• Ingredients (for 2 slices):

• 1 egg

• 1 tbsp sugar

• 4 tbsp milk

• ½ tsp vanilla extract

• ½ tsp cinnamon powder

• 2 slices of homemade sandwich bread

• Butter & oil for frying

• Syrup & powdered sugar for topping

• How I Made It:

1. Mixed the egg, sugar, milk, cinnamon, and vanilla in a wide bowl.

2. Took 2 slightly dried slices of my homemade bread (helps absorb more liquid) and soaked both sides well.

3. Fried the slices in a mix of butter and oil until golden brown on both sides.

4. Topped with maple syrup and powdered sugar while still warm.

• Notes & Tips:

Drying the bread a little beforehand helps prevent soggy toast.

You can prep the bread the night before and leave it out for better absorption.

This base recipe is classic, but you can adjust the sweetness or spice to taste.
