Come with me to Be Our Guest in Magic Kingdom! This is often considered to be one of Walt Disney World’s most overrated overpriced restaurants, but can the new menu change things?

You are eating a three course meal during one of the hottest weeks of the summer–a particularly hot summer. Not many people want to do that and then spend hours in the park afterwards. I think that may account for it being so empty. My husband and I went with our moms on my birthday in the spring and it was a decent crowd. I think it's worth trying once even at the price point (it was the first time our moms had ever dined there). I do wish they would still have The Beast photo op. He came out and waved a ton of times, but having all the family in that photo op would have been nice.
This place is amazing. Service is always on point and entertaining. Food is amazing and honestly, the price is very fair for what you get. You spend over $70 per person at places planet Hollywood for a 3 course meal with drinks. Its just what is. Eating out is expensive.
We’ve eaten there 3 times. All times we were seated in the Beast room which was cool if you don’t mind not being able to see how your meat is cooked. I do, I’m one of those “no pink” people and I’ve had trouble telling how well done my meat is. Very dark room. I was surprised to find out you don’t see any actual characters. Well we did see Beast two of the times we were there but it was a quick less than a minute visit. He doesn’t do pics or visit tables, he comes out and waves. That’s it folks.
Now pricing, it’s a shocker guys. VERY expensive which I expect, it is Disney however, the price does not match the quality of the food. Little options to choose
from. Best thing in menu French Onion Soup, that’s about it. We did lunch hoping it would be a bit cheaper but it’s the exact same meal, same price. Breakfast was my best experience. It’s no surprise to see the ease of obtaining a reservation compared to a few years ago, people left feeling cheated as we did. To be fair Disney does not refer to BOG as a character meal. Thanks for the video, I’m been curious to see if Disney is gonna make any changes.
The face when characters are announced! Love!! Always appreciate your honest reviews.
We haven’t been because it’s so expensive and you don’t get to meet any characters. I just can’t justify going when I can go to 1900 Park Fare and Crystal Palace to get great food and meet characters.
Saying a 10 year old eats the same amount of food as an adult and making them pay the higher price is crazy. My 12 year old son doesn’t have a big appetite and that $80 would be such a waste on him. It’s why so many families wouldn’t bring their kids that age.
I miss the ala carte QS lunch, it was exactly (quality food, indoor ample seating, great theming) that MK needed. The main problem was the self order system took too long for people to bumble through, having CM take the order like other QS would have moved the line. Secondary problem was trying to find a seat. Being seated or having someone inform you where empty tables were would have helped, I automatically would just head to the music box room, no on wanted to sit there. Did get a West Wing table but people kept standing over me wanting to take it as soon as I was done, one group tried to oust me before I was served asking if I was done eating yet.
I used to like the quick service breakfast and lunch. Only ever did dinner once wouldn’t rush to go back
honestly better to go to Royal Table one instead if you gonna pay $$$
I think you are charming. Enjoyed your review and just subscribed.
The price point is a problem, when will Disney get it.
Yeah, Disney needs to take a hard look at why it’s so empty.
Your disappointment in the Grey Stuff is probably because they switched this one to a plant-based recipe. Having to rely on plant-based options due to some allergies, I find they tend to not be quite as good as normal dessert recipes.
What happened to the bread? Did you take it home? ❤ love your channel and thanks for all that you do.
We were just there and we definitely didn't have the same experience as we did in 2019. My daughter ordered the new charred eggplant, and I could tell right away that she didn't care for it. I tried it and I have to say it was pretty gross. My husband and I got filet , which was ok.
To spend more than $30 for this pathetic half attempt at a dining experience – is either ignorance or blindness.
Did they let you take out the baguette?!
People are avoiding because the price isn't worth the food and experience– seems like an easy fix, add characters. Why they aren't doing that is beyond me
I loved the lunch !!!
We just ate here this past Thursday. The food was not very good honestly but I got the filet and a salad. Bread was hard dessert was decent not great. The Beast walked by and waved so fast I couldn't even get a quick selfie. I did not feel it was worth the money if you've been before. I've been 4 times and won't be going back unless changes are made. 😢
Given the price, I feel like it’s a one and done restaurant. There’s also plenty of sit down restaurants, make it another quick service meal with different options than cosmic rays has.
I’m sorry but the bread presentation is not acceptable. I used to work in a fancy-ish restaurant, and we baked FRESH bread daily, had a slicing machine that sliced it nicely for tables, and served it with salted honey butter. Disney needs to step it up!
My family of 10 ate there May 2024. It's definitely a one and done experience. The steaks are okay, but the appetizers and desserts are not great at all, especially for the price. Personally I would just do a walk through of the restaurant without asking and skip the meal for those wanting to see the inside.
These videos always make me smile! Thank you so much, Kristen! I hope everyone has a great day 💜💕
No way I would pay that much to eat there, definitely not worth it.
I’ve written it all through rooms and I hate the West Wing. It’s just too dark in there to eat.
❤❤❤❤ and appreciateyou kw thanks for sharing your beastie day as always have fun. Stay safe keep cool. I’ll catch you later, sweetheart.😂❤❤❤– – – Brian G in Myrtle Beach
Disney is a ripoff and I will never go back!
Wait a minute $72 per person and they don’t have table cloths on the table. Nope not worth it.
I wish they would bring back breakfast!!!
So glad we ate there in 2018 for my daughter’s 16th Birthday. It was amazing. The food was to die for and you got to meet the beast for pictures after dinner. Even for all of that now I would never pay $72 a person!
“Swallow their pride” is the most true statement I’ve ever heard!
I used to love the quick service lunch!
It seems like the plant based meal here, which was already awfully overpriced, became even worse with this update. My sister loves this restaurant so we often end up going on our trips but I really just can't justify this as a plant based eater anymore. Plant based eaters frequently get the shaft when it comes to prix fix menus. $72 for some eggplant and a small salad is insane.
The dessert on the last menu was nasty so I’m looking forward to the new 😋
I’m a new mom and I’ve been watching your videos in the middle of the night while I nurse. They’ve been so comforting during such a wild season of life. My baby is sleeping longer now and while I’m loving the extra sleep, I’m missing our late night chats about Disney food. Thank you for all that you do ❤.
French onion soup at Panera is weak example, needs to taken off menu stat
The Filet 🥩 is delicious 😋
I like the cheese plate idea. And also have an option to take home the actual plate that the cheese is on. Make it like a really nice beauty and the beast keepsake and for an extra five dollars you get to take the plate home. I mean, that would add some value to me. I’m willing to spend money at a restaurant if it’s good. The amount of money you pay is the same amount you would pay at let’s say Ruth Chris steakhouse. And that is worth the money. As this is now not so much, but if you’re in Disney World and you want experience and you love beauty and the beast a ton then this could be for you. But don’t be expecting amazing food.
I miss when this was quick service. 😭
Tourism in the US is in massive freefall. You should expect empty parks and lots of reservation availability.
