This week, we repair the 400 year old hand-painted ceiling in our chateau powder room. While in Provence, we were welcomed to the Chateau D’Astros for a full tour of their enormous estate and explore the many beautiful features it has to offer. We were thrilled to share the experience and discover the history of this generational undertaking.

Our “beau chateau” (The 500-year-old, Chateau De Lesigny), is located near Paris, France. Most of the structures around the chateau domain need a full restoration, so we are investing everything we have into making the property thrive! We are learning more about french culture and developing new skills along the way!

As a French/American UC Berkeley graduate in Agriculture (Daphne), and a U.S. Air Force Tactical Response Force Veteran/ Kinesiologist (Ian), we share a love for challenges and adventure. We have a long road ahead of us and we are excited to share the experience with you!

    The painted ceiling is just… beautiful. Chateaux De Lalande found their painted ceiling by accident. It’s amazing what they covered up!!

    Beautiful work, guys! I love that you repurpose materials and make "new" things that look "old". And the tour of Chateau D'Astros was fantastic~ from its spectacular restored ballrooms (the staircase and the painted CEILINGS!!) to its "miraculous" waters, not to mention the Knights of Malta (with their Knights Templar connections!) buildings and agriculture. Please bring us more tours if you ever have the time. Also, still 🙏for a second season~ and as many more as it takes to finish the restoration of your own chateau!! Best of luck, always 😍

    What an aggravatingly annoying & entitled woman! Have to mute her. You're not speaking French, so SPEAK ENGLISH and quit using French words, fool! Show's called Castle Impossible, so say Castle! What a loon. France needs to outlaw USA from owning ANY properties or any land in France. I hope the gov confiscates it to house the homeless. What an insipid tool Every single sentence she utters she has to say "chateau" every 3rd word! WTF?? SPEAK ENGLISH!!!! She is unbearable and would make Mother Teresa want to commit acts of violence against her face. UGH!

    Just channel surfed onto this program on HGTV. It had to be said. Just STFU!!!!

    We were pleased to see another short video.
    Comment. One thing we enjoyed was the bilingual interaction with the locals. There is something magical when listening to you and the locals converse in French with the subtitles. We've noticed since HGTV you're interaction has been English with the locals speaking English. Please bring back some of that charm.
