Jacques Pépin prepares this rustic French classic – chicken simmered in white wine with garlic, thyme, and mushrooms. Simple, soulful, and full of flavor.

The way you explained this is SO clear. Thank you
90 yrs old.. that equals 250 chef-years. Rspct
Love the simplicity, looks delicious!!!❤
I used to watch him as a child. I am now in my early 40's and it is still a pleasure to see him alive and cooking.
Wonderful teacher.
My mother was a simple southern cook. This was one of here specialities. We would always yearn for this with a pot of rice👍🌈Love the flour technique. Will give it a go. Thank you ❤️
Awesome as usual💖
A Masterpiece in five minutes!
Two nice techniques I just learned from Chef Pepin – chopping off the ends of the drumstick and sprinkling flour on the chicken skin instead of in the pan. This saves astep of stirring it among the crowd in the pan. This is why I cherish this ol' master.
merci beaucoup
What a magnificent representative of the human race this treasure of a man is to the world. God bless him. Such a gift we have been enjoying for many years!
Love you, Jacque ♥️
For a guy nearing 90, he chopped through the end of that drumstick with impressive ease
"2 tablespoons of vodka" vibes
hi, I'm jacques pepin and you're not
I know what I'm making Sunday!
Ugh…chicken sgain. Come on, Mom.
Jacques still rocks.
Question I make both of these dishes respectively but notice a slight difference in flavour and taste. I see both can be eaten with pasta but find chasseur is better with potatoes. But both very similar dishes and taste of herbs. I also find pork goes nice with any kind of tomato dish. Turkey is also a slightly cheaper meat than chicken and taste as good but better in a curry.
Sir, This recipe is fantastic! Made it for my wife yesterday and we were both very pleased. I did modify it slightly, however, by using a small can of tomatoes that comes with some green chilies. It was/is about the half can of Tomatoes that Chef called for. I do all the meal preparation in our home. YouTube, and especially your channel, have been essential in teaching this "old dog" a few new tricks.
Definitely making this!
