  1. Spicy chili is the true greatest soup for grilled cheese, it has a tomato base, a lot of fillings to stack onto every bite of the sandwich, the spice adds a nice sweat to cool you off (eat during summer) and you can add cheese to it without it feeling like you added cheese to water

  2. After we make pot roast, we mix the leftover broth with tomato sauce, vegetables, leftover roast, and whatever else my family puts in it(I don't have the recipe but I need it). I think it is chef's kiss with grilled cheese

  3. Leek and Potato (a popular soup flavour in UK not sure about US) is great with a grilled cheese.

  4. Matters if you call it a soup but chili is better than tomato soup and can be enjoyed after finishing the grilled cheese.
