It's really like grandmother's house in France in tiny villages of brittany and farms) and with this kind of old furniture there's Always huge massif woodeen furnitures and religious things like cross etc on the walls (i'm french and it's relatable)

The kugelhopf in Czechia..is acually called "Bábovka" and it means "Grandma's cake" or something simillar to that! Just a fun fact :DDD
Very similar to here in the states! My great grandma was from Arkansas (she raised me). That would just be a Bundt cake mold, they still used a bed warmer up north, still hung veggies (onions, garlic, black pepper – dish staples!!), and still beat the carpets. Actually that was also my job as a kid in the 80s/90s 😂 me and my tennis racquet 😂😂

Fascinating! French peasants lived in tents! Also wtf is the point of bed warmers?? I get it, there was no heat during the winter but why bother basically ironing your sheets before bed just for them to cool down shortly after getting under the covers?
