Hey Riders…..Stage 6……After the efforts of the Time Trial we see another vicious day in the rolling hills of Normandy. Starting at Bayeux, only a few miles from the D-Day landing sites, the riders take on a 201 km route with 3500m of climbing. Super punchy with 6 categorized climbs spread through out the stage. This one is going thermonuclear right from the rip. I am expecting the attacks to start at Km0 and be pushed by the smaller teams working together to form a breakaway.

Terrain: Hilly with 6 categorized climbs (~3,550 m elevation) and a brutal 700 m finish ramp at ~10% gradient.

Healy launched a daring solo attack with **42 km to go**, breaking away from the front group and holding off the chasers to take his **first-ever Tour de France stage win**!
⏱️ Margin of victory: **+2′44″** over Simmons, **+2′51″** over Storer.

**Mathieu Van der Poel** clawed back the **yellow jersey** from Tadej Pogačar by just **1 second** after being part of the long-range breakaway.
