If only English speaking people could stop pronouncing "oo" as our "oe", that would make so much difference to us Dutchies and you would probrobly get many, many compliments. For us you're calling stroopwafels "stroepwafels". Idk why this is the first thing that comes to my mind, but many of our "oo" is pronounced like the "o" in "omen". Try to remember that everytime you see a Dutch word with "oo". And even tho there are exceptions.. NEVER EVER say "hoor" the English way, making "oo" sounds like our "oe". The "oo" in hoor sounds the same like the "oo" in the English "door".
But NEVER do our Dutch words with "oo" sound like our "oe" as in "oops" or "school".
Ok, now I will stop. I don't even have the energy to tell you that we also have the word "school" same meaning, but how it's pronounced the Dutch way xD
As someone who was born and raised and still lives in the city centre of amsterdam. Nothing in this list is good. This is all touristy, overpriced and underwelming
French fries stands are a stable in Holland, not a tourist attraction…. But don’t miss out on Indonesian restaurants, that’s a Dutch specialty, since many Indonesian people immigrated to Holland…..

When I travel, I go to places with less reviews. It’s a risk, but a good travel hack to avoid tourists.
You can eat literally anywhere in Amsterdam and the food is incredible 😜 just saying 😂
double 'oo' is pronounced "oh". in dutch the sound of 'oo' (like in hood) is written 'oe'
