Native American foods. Went to some great native American restaurants when i was little. Can't remember the names but the food was heavenly. Better than British food in my opinion. Also most people think noodles were invented by Italians but it wasn't. I'm pretty sure french fries weren't technically invented by the french

The name comes from Hamburg because they started selling cooked ground beef patties to people who couldn't afford steak. It was literally called a "Hamburg Steak".
The "Hamburger" as a sandwich (cheeseburger) is absolutely an American food.
