  1. When I ran a catering company back in the day, I made this MANY MANY times and it was always a HUGE hit! It's a must-have for anyone who likes to entertain on a higher level !

  2. I'm sure there will be comments on how unsanitary she was handling the meat. But remember, she was dealing with a 30 minute window with no cuts in editing. She had to cram a lot of information about an expensive cut of meat in a short time frame.

  3. Funny how nervous the viewers clearly were back then, about eating garlic. Julia stresses she's adding the tiniest amount @15:20 and adds that it's optional!

    I've noticed across the board there was a distinct lack of garlic in these vintage shows, kind of strange when the show's called 'The French Chef!'
