French fries – homemade recipe
Recipe:
Ingredients:
– 1 kg waxy potatoes
– Sunflower oil (for frying)
– Salt (to taste)
1. Prepare the potatoes: Peel the potatoes and cut them into large wedges (about 1-2 cm thick).
2. Heat the oil: Heat enough sunflower oil in a deep pan or fryer (about 180 °C).
3. Fry: Carefully add the potato wedges to the hot oil. Fry in small batches to prevent the oil temperature from dropping too much. Fry the potatoes until golden brown and crispy (about 5-7 minutes).
4. Drain and season: Remove the finished potatoes with a slotted spoon and let them drain on paper towels. Sprinkle with a little salt and serve warm.
