I had this over the weekend. Really enjoyed it, was served with some fondu.
I often recommended this wine when at TJ’s. I think many customers shied away because they thought it was the sweet Muscat.

When you pour the wine, small cavities of air are left around small impurities in the glass. Residual CO2 in the wine escapes into those regions, increasing the pressure and expanding them. As they become bigger, the buoyancy forces are too strong and the bubble is torn from the surface, floating freely up. The take from this is that the beads of sparkling wine are unreliable depending on the kind of glass used, and of how well Bob has washed his wine glasses 😛
