There’s a special beach cabin that opens each summer on the beach of Boisvinet in Saint-Gilles-Croix de Vie, France. It’s called La Petite Cabane de Boisvinet and it’s run by Armelle Lafitte and her daughter Lea. Join me as I spend the day with them and show what makes her beach cabane so unique!

  1. Hi Beth, how I LOVED this video! The French have perfect phrases to describe the enjoyment of life: soif de vivre and joie de vivre. You and Philippe have achieved and discovered both sentiments. While some wait until dark, others take full advantage of their beautiful surroundings, enjoying every minute of the day. You have an amazing group of like-minded friends to enjoy Boisvinet Beach in Saint-Gilles-Croix de Vie. It can't get much better than that!! Thank you for bringing a little joie de vivre to my Saturday. Bisous 😘😘LE livre va bientôt arriver, j'ai hâte

  2. Beth I just discovered your channel and I can’t stop watching it ❤❤❤ I live on a Greek island, Crete, and we’re pretty big on entertaining considering the large extended families we have! If you ever visit CreteI would love to have you over for a huge Cretan feast!!! The food here is to die for ❤❤❤❤

  3. What a wonderful place. Absolutely love Armelle and Lea, and the community of friends.. If I lived there I would be hanging out at the cabane ALL DAY.

  4. It took me a while to like oysters too! Growing up I’ve only seen and had raw oysters that have been sitting out all day or cooked oysters that are rubbery and dry, and it’s crazy how much better a fresh, properly-prepared oyster tastes! This video was amazing and the cabana looked so charming!

  5. Little shack restaurants like these always amazes me. Like the variety of foods and the amount of customers they serve out of that tiny kitchen… Like how 😂

  6. Yay a vlog from you ❤ we have just bought a caravan and the plan is to re visit where I studied in the college in noirmoutier and worked in pouzages in a hotel whilst in culinary college. I also want to make a stop in your part of the area and sample this gorgeous place! Big hugs from Wales. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 or Pays de Galles! 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿🇬🇧

  7. Beth — this is beautiful. You actually had me a bit teary-eyed with the new community life that you are experiencing. You are so right, we don't have this is America … kinda sad. So excited to meet you in June. I'll be at the book signing in Dallas.

  8. Merci beaucoup Beth pour tout ce travail que tu as fait pour mettre en valeur notre travail à la petite cabane
Tu es fantastique et tellement généreuse
Ta vidéo est incroyable pour nous
    Ça restera un superbe moment
    Merci mille fois

  9. When you need a few minutes to escape and travel to the French seaside this is the perfect get away!!
    Thank you Beth
    Bon Appétit

  10. Thank you for sharing your life in France now!!! I'll be bike riding through your town with my son and husband in the summer so this is perfect, I already feel like I know the area thanks to you! Love from 🇨🇦

  11. I loved this video! I didn’t want it to end. What a beautiful spot. Those gals sure work hard. The oysters looked divine! I wish I could stop in! Thank you for sharing this spectacular video!

  12. This video is glorious! I am on pins and needles waiting for your book release which I pre-ordered months ago—can’t believe it’s almost here!!

Was hoping to catch you in San Francisco, but I work and start summer school that week, so sad!

Congrats on the book, safe and happy travels. Wishing you all the best on the book tour. Every single recipe of yours I’ve tried has been a smashing success. I watch some of your videos repeatedly because they relax me (I am in law school and work full-time) so watching you prep dinner for 16 French people, or buy pastries for brunch is utterly joyous. I can’t travel while I’m in school because there is no time, so your channel is the next best thing!!!!!

    Cheers to you, Beth!!

  13. What a lovely vlog Beth, you are living the dream, such a wonderful community spirit with delicious food & wine!

  14. Beth you have truly brought to life all facets of Armelle’s and her family’s wonderful cabane as a hub of the community. Both inspirational, heartwarming. Makes me think only in France can you be surrounded by so many goods things. Wish I lived closer to call in as it all looks tantalisingly delicious 👌💕
