As for the wine: “The wine must be natural, made from grapes of the vine, and not corrupt” [CIC 924 §3]. That rules out synthetic wine, cider, or drinks fortified beyond forty per cent alcohol. Mistela (grape juice strengthened with grape spirit) may be used with permission when ordinary wine would endanger the priest’s health (e.g. alcoholic). A little water is mixed into the chalice, fulfilling the older rubric recalled in the same canon (§1), and symbolising the human nature united with the divine.
If either element is not present, or is invalid, no consecration occurs. Everything else, including vestments, vessels, and music, can be beautiful, yet without valid matter there is no sacrament.
P.s. I know the song says: “Red One” (the producer) lol. But I’ve always heard “Red Wine” when on the radio.

Blessed to have you Father! What even is white wine now that you mention?😅
I also thought the line was red wine
What’s the best DRINK you ever had?
THE RED WINE🎉
Do you use white wine?
I’ve wondered if the bread could be consecrated without the wine in exceptional circumstances (like Soviet prisons). Thanks for answering that!
I thought it was red wine in the song too lol, but that’s really good to know about mixing the water and wine. I always thought it was to dilute it a bit 😂, but it’s good to know that there’s a more symbolic reason. Now I just feel a bit dumb 😅, but that was a fascinating read. Thanks always! 🙏🏼
Transubstantiation! That’s what’s up!
What about white wine? What about wine bought in a grocery store?
White wine works too from what I’ve heard
UNLEAVENED wheat bread.
