French Onion Soup Casserole

I do love a casserole and this is a “soup”er one.

You will need
2 tbsp butter
1 tbsp brown sugar
3 onions chopped
1 cup Swiss cheese
1 day old baguette
1 tsp thyme
1 tsp black pepper
1 cup beef broth
