  1. I would love to make this and the many other mother sauces but I struggle with the wine. The wine that is inevitably an important ingredient of most sauces, interferes with diabetic sugar limits and not only is the sugar a large problem but I, and my family cannot stand the taste of wine in food. If I want wine, I'll have a glass, we don't like that taste in our meal. What can I do, surely I'm not the first person with sugar intolerance or to dislike the taste of wine.
