  1. I can't even begin to Fathom the cost and the time is going to take to bring that I would say awesome castle back to life.. I wish I had a magic wand it would all be back to beautiful overnight❤❤❤

  2. Think of the billions of dollars wasted on social controls worldwide in lieu of preserving histories that would give the world a smile. Insanity.

  3. Please contact those architects and engineers you let walk over your borders ! There skill would be better used to repair those wonderful structures. 🙏🏻🕊️🇺🇸😁🤙🏻

  4. I do big restorations… I warn people all the time about places like this… It's nice to dream… But there is no set price on bringing this back to its former glory… Once the roof is gone the damage is done… It would be in the tens of millions… And in my professional opinion simply not worth the money or time matter what the history… Unless you don't value time or money…!

  5. What a beautiful piece of French history. I have worked on many restorations in the USA, but nothing like this exists. Since the restoration of Notre Dame I know France posses the skilled manpower and supplies to take on this work. I hope to visit one day. Best of luck with preservation and restoration of this jem.

  6. How sad that the beautiful and historic chateaux is in such bad shape. I noticed that is the theme of most of these building throughout Europe. Once they are gone so is the history that they were part of.

  7. Afaik there is like 30 thousand chateaux in France, many have been left to crumble and not all of them can or need to be saved. The ones that are too far gone could have a future as a romantic ruin in the style of the many well preserved church ruins in Britain.

  8. Why don't the villagers repair, restore and inhabit the castle? I for one.. of the proud Dutch nobel family "van Poelgeest" would be willing to take up keep in this beautiful castle. I would invite those reacting to this video to join me and bring this landmark back to life.

  9. I think repairs can be done quickly , relatively cheap, brilliantly and according to the heritage demands if you know how to organize that. But it has to get a floor heating and a good thermal insulation too, and this will blow up the project costs in a significant way.

  10. Comfortable et avec de vraies fuites au plafond, svp! Monseigneur des Gargouilles-Bouchées a une telle garderobe quelle pourrait financer plus qu'un ravalement de facade! ☺

  11. I wish i were a billionaire. I’d spend all my time restoring all these old homes for future generations

  12. Man. . there is war in Europe , and most important countries can't put an end to it for 3 years (10 actually). Our whole civilization is collapsing.

  13. sad to see it dying. when places like that are going its telling you it doesn't feel loved and hasn't been looked after very well. thanks for showing us around anyhow

  14. When you consider the South Park creators spent $40 million to restore a restaurant just imagine what this would cost to refurb. If I had a couple of billion I would do it.

  15. As in such cases, it would be cheaper to build a new one. The best solution would be to sell it cheap to someone who will put the millions into it to save it. Not ethical to use tax money.

  16. A stitch, in time, saves nine. Such a shame someone didn’t put that little extra attention and money into the zinc flashing and roof maintenance.
