During our en-primeur visits we were lucky enough to meet and taste with Alexandre Thienpont, the owner of the wonderful Vieux Chateau Certan in Pomerol. Alexandre stressed that the 2024 vintage was one in which his old Cabernet Franc vines (planted in 1954) played an important role. If we correctly understood what he told us these should be some of those vines.
