In this Canadian Wine Series we are tasting this flagship wine a 2021 Black Widow Winery Reserve Hourglass (14.8%) red wine blend from Naramata Bench, Okanagan, BC. Grapes used are 75% Merlot & 25% Cabernet Sauvignon varietals where they are aged for 21 months in French Oak Barrels.
Tasting notes: full bodies with flavors of dark berries, blackberries & blueberries. Sweetness is moderate/low as is acidity. Hints of cigar box, menthol, baking spice & spice. Tannins are moderate & there is a soft mouthfeel.
