To avoid the yacht sinking orcas in the Bay of Biscay we decided to take our blue water sailing yachts through mainland Europe via the French Inland Waterways (VNF). It was an adventure of a lifetime but it would turn out to be a lot harder than we expected.

We did this a couple of years ago but took a more leisurely approach. We decided to explore the wonderful french countryside and cities as the skipper wss not planning to return the boat to the uk. (Hes now based in Valencia)

I wonder if you could take a 25 1/2 feet wide catamaran through the canals. You had said that the canal that you went through was to narrow but are there others that I could do a similar trip on another canal?
