Strasbourg during the day is sleeping beauty, and at night, it wakes up as magical and enchanting fairyland. Strasbourg is nicknamed as the Christmas capital of the world… and I wholeheartedly agree!

Strasbourg has very many Christmas markets… explore and discover each of them at a leisure pace. Soak in the environment as you stroll through the streets and lanes from market to market. Breathe in all the wonderful smells of vin chaud, bretzels, chocolate, gingerbread, etc not just from the markets, but also from boutique cafés, so don’t forget to try them all!

Alsatian cuisine is described as both French and German influences. Alsatian rule has shifted between France and Germany more than once in the region’s long history, resulting in a culture — and cuisine — that’s not quite French and not quite German.

If you really want to get to know a culture, it is found through their food. The food flavors are unique because the ingredients are mostly local farms-to-table, although, the food preparation is not unfamiliar. And, the taste of two cultural influences blends together deliciously!
