Some of you asked for cocktails with champagne 🥂 or sparkling wine 🍾 So let’s talk about the French 75! 😍

It’s said that the original French 75 most likely had Cognac instead of Gin but, whichever you prefer, both spirits make an excellent French 75!

French 75
1oz Gin
.5oz Lemon Juice
.5oz Simple Syrup 1:1
Top with Prosecco
Garnish: Lemon Twist

  1. This is wrong on so many levels , triple sec or any orange liqueur instead of simple syrup, wrong proportions as well , usually you’ll find .75 to be colloquially appropriate and lastly it’s goes in a flute not a coupe.

  2. I’m not a fancy drinker so maybe I just don’t understand, but doesn’t rubbing the lemon oils down the stem just make it sticky 😅

  3. Gonna be words with the bartender if someone charges me for, and serves, a French 75 topped with Prosecco instead of 60ml of Champagne…
