Guess you’ve never deep fried fries in beef tallow?
dont kid yourself. that is 100% fat you are adding to those potatoes. its not healthy. you shouldnt be eating it, period.
Are you eat up Olive Oil? Are you attorney casa genic?
Are use of rape seed oil, higher heat, for frying. Virgin olive oil is only used in salads.
laughs in wagyu beef tallowI'm a Greek, so I'm used to having only olive oil. I am not eating any carbs anymore, but up to some years ago I had a permanent pan for potatoes with olive oil in it. I was replacing the oil every about 50 times because I was cooking in a very low temperature (takes time, but gives extremely more taste and cranch). Indeed after 50 uses, the oil had the same taste, but I would replace it anyway. The taste is unmatched, but I have never tried tallow.
Beef tallow fries are better
You mean extra relatable olive oil
Your lying on the smoke point
Peanut oil man
Duck fat bro
No. Olive oil is not viable for frying. It’s because the smoke point isn’t as high, so other oils must be used that have a high smoke point
its better than seed oils but for the healthiest use animal fats
I love either pork lard or beef tallow fries anytime we get a large cut from the butcher or we just cooked enough bacon in a month we'll make it
My grandfather is 100 years old now. My grandma would always fry fries in olive oil. Fries have been fried in Greece where I come from for generations in olive oil.
What he says is correct you just have to use it fewer times than some other oils.
As for those who laugh about the word extra virgin or Virgin , its the categorization of quality in olive oil.
The reality is that good olive oil needs to be low acidity, cold pressed, not mixed, not refined, this year's crop, from a good place of origin. Even inside a country qualities differ. Usually on Mountain they produce less quantity per tree, harder to harvest, but higher quality/taste which is extra fine for cooking and salads. Its sad but many times in your supermarkets you might be getting from some big companies lower grades of olive oil and even mixed. Example mixed with a percentage of cheaper oil, mixing of low qualities with high to generate a mediocre result etc. That's why in Greece most people buy directly for producers usually in bulk.
My family has been producing olive oil for more than a century. Sorry for my rant but i am annoyed from the food industry. In the end they might be selling you snacks with motor oil inside and say you and a fairytail of how good the motor oil is for you, and they might rename it machined used oil in order to make it less clear what it is lol
Totally wrong…I say olive oil taste horrible around French fries/chips, fried mushrooms or fried egg. Its just nasty if no other flavour is introduced. Better to always use vegetable oil imo or beef dripping.
in the Mediterranean deep frying things in olive oil is the norm
My amazigh heart rn : 💃💃💃👯🏾♀️👯🏾♀️👯🏾♀️🩰
Fuck I already unvirgined the olive oil
Beef tallow has left the chat
Extra Virgin means its coldpressed just j’use olive oil.
After fry its just Olive oil.
i agree but 425 f is incorrect its more 325
Nah sorry, you need to use beef dripping, it was the original way of cooking chip until oil became cheaper and more convenient
He’s rt
I'm an extra virgin
Just go for beef tallow, duck fat, pig fat cheaper and healthier.
Isn't it toxic at high heat?
In Greece, that's how most people used to fry their potatoes, in olive oil (we probably still do). I personally like them that way but I also understand why people might want a more neutral-tasting oil like canola or sunflower.
False beef tallow is best
Its all about the processing. Seed oils are toxic byt cheap. The health benefits are outstanding replacing all these crappy seed oils with actual oil from an actual vegetable this is brilliant and we should demand it from all restaurants!
In my opinion extra virgin olive oil or avocado oil are the best oils to use for cooking! Coconut oil is also good but only in moderation.
Duck fat?
McDonald's precooks their fries in beef fat
It's not canchy
I have reused my olive oil 7 times!! This works and its amazing.
FACTS, I JUST TRIED THIS AND LOOK IT UP, ITS THE BEST FRIES I'VE EVER MADE
Crispier amd delicious
Tests show you can use it even 10 times (on fries) and max 2 on chicken
Fry in regular olive oil, yes. In extra Virgin olive oil? No!
42 ounces of wagyu beef tallow = £29 with £160 delivery. Lol
Ghee and tallow are better
I love frying food with olive oil, It always comes out great. My wallet is bottomless on the subject of food.
Don't forget to mention the temps of evoo where it's most usable in heat
425 Celsius or Fahrenheit
Do you have a full video on how to do it?
