Welcome back to our French medieval village! In this video, we continue renovating our cozy living room, bringing warmth and charm to our home with a fireplace and traditional touches. Between building and decorating, we take a break to cook some delicious local specialties—simple, rustic dishes that capture the essence of the French countryside.

Join us as we embrace the slow, authentic rhythm of village life—renovating, cooking, and enjoying the beauty of our historic surroundings.

Here is the recipe for pichade’s dough: 500g flour, 1 tsp salt, water 1 cup, dry yeast 9g, 1/4 cup of olive oil (and leave it to rest for an hour or two)

Voilà 🙂

  1. Wow I'm surprised you covered the skylight. What a great addition to the room. now that you've got that extra bedroom blocking the window.

  2. Hi, Aselya! Hello from the South of Brazil😊 I was watching you guys rebuilding home/living room and had a deja vu cuz my husband , Emerson, and I did the same when we bought our apartment. He is a do-it-yourselfer too. Btw, he sends his best to Chris with many compliments! I confess I admire handy people, but rebuilding is nor for me 😂. I'm clumsy and messy 😂😂😂.
But the room looks awesome! The ceiling window looks great. And I'm truly impressed how taller Matthew is. He is not a child anymore. Marina says hello and asks about his school (how it looks like, subjects, how he likes it). 😃😃😃
Wish u all a great and sunny Sunday and a marvelous week ahead. ❤ love you!! ❤

  4. Chris is doing a great job and he is really very skilled and calm in doing it. The roof window that brings light inside the living room is so wonderful. Thank very much Aselya for this nice video. You are a lovely family 🍀💕🪻

  6. Bonjour,
J’adore vos lunettes, je voulais vous demander depuis longtemps, d'où viennent-elles ? quelle marque ou magasin ?
Merci pour vos vidéos, elles sont magnifiques ! ❤

  7. Bonjour Aselya, may I ask you a question? We would like to stay on the campsite in Gorbio. We have a campervan (6 m long) and have a trailer with a motorbike in tow. We read that the best way to get to Gorbio is by the D23 from the coast. Do you agree or do you think one shouldn‘t go there with a campervan and trailer in tow? Thank you very much for taking the time to respond! Eva

  8. Oh my gosh….I say that to men a lot…"how do you know how to do that"😂🎉 and I say I will clean, make a snack, rub your shoulders, make dinner to help with the hard work….Its always like watching a secret magic world when construction or mechanical car things get done 🎉🎉
