  1. I'm very impressed by your channel. I love cooking and even more when it's accompanied with the history behind it. As for this dish, there is a version made with veal. This is the one that I was taught years ago. I had no idea it was from Napoleon.

  2. It's doubtful if Napoleon even ate something like that after the battle. It was invented by a restaurant chef in Paris to honor Napoleon's victory.

  3. You may be surprised to know that some versions of this recipe also have crayfish in it…this suggests that the Chef literally scoured the pantry and threw all he coud find in the pot…after all it had been truly a 'field day'

  4. "Greatest" implies goodness. Napoleon was one of history's greatest killers and for what purpose? Try "infamous," or "notorious."
