I'm sorry, very British ? The proud nation of Ireland will not take this slander. On St Patrick's Day and all. (Although it is set in Dublin, so you're half-right)

"It's very British."
Ex-fucking-scuse me?
Irish lad Irish
For me Skulduggery Pleasant (the character) is one of my favorites of all time. Each time he appears he always makes me laughs. The charm of the entire series reminds me of Cirque Du Freak. And to be honest I have a hard time picking which one I love more between the two.
"I'm always angry."
I read this series ten years ago. I should probably pick it up again.
Its irish mannn
This used to be one of my favourite series growing up. So glad it seems to be getting more attention
I love that the background filter kept fazing little James in and out like a devil on his shoulder
This sound interesrtng to me, actually
YES MY FAVOURITE SERIES. It's so underrated I swear
It’s such a good series. I heard about it in the old Disney magazines my older brother used to get back when I was in middle school, but want allowed to read it due to my parents religious beliefs, I had forgot all about it until last year when I found the books 1-3 collection on audible and I ended up binging it in a couple nights while doordashing. I know that if I had read it back when I first heard about it, or would’ve joined the “Artemis Fowl,” “Animorphs,” and “Demonata” series that shaped my reading choices back then
Imo Derek should have concluded the series long ago, the overall quality went downhill fast after the fifth book and eventually the main story seemed to go nowhere. But I do agree that the first few books are really good, me and my friends especially read books 1-3 multiple times as teenagers!
British in the sense of being set in the British isles, like how Pakistan is in the Indian subcontinent.
Off topic: James is getting more handsome every year.
I need to reread this book the first was delightful
I remember reading that book as a kid and being surprised partway through when I realized it was Irish
I remember reading the series as a kid. From my foggy memory it had an interesting magic system and a very cool main character with Sculduggery. But the audience insert character in the form of Sculduggery teenager sidekick never managed to capture. That being said she also wasn't annoying, just forgettable.
I haven't heard that name since i was ten. Bro i haven't thought about this series for so long. I fucked with it so heavy in grade five.
I'm loving these shorts – sometimes I just need book recs from James in tiny doses
This book got me hocked on reading in the first place cause its so funny! And its a nice middle, not to childish not to brutal in the action moments. This book probably changed my life cause I would have struggled much more throughout school ❤
I love this series so much
