Merci beaucoup 🎊 🎉
Is it just me or is that the most unappetizing looking dish ever😅 love love watching Julia child. She's the funniest down to earth lady ever, however not one of her dishes ever appeals to me
I’m going to get drunk and make this for dinner tonight.
I am going to add this dish in my Sunday menu .
Is she wearing a wig😮
I saw this episode years ago and tried it (it was good) and then forgot all about it. Now I may need to try it again,
I never throw out the core of a cabbage. I eat it, it has a little bite to it, I love them, I love cabbage. 😂
Love her butchering the French language ❤
That looks very unpleasant but I bet it tastes great
In "The Way to Cook" she suggests blanching some fresh cabbage leaves so they're cooked but still retain their color, and using them to disguise the gray cooked cabbage.
Is it just me, or do her knives seem exceptionally dull??
Brown colored cabbage leaves don't look very appetizing, though may taste good when cooked. 🥬
I actually made a stuffed cabbage for New Years dinner 2025. I didn't realize that Julia had done one. I got the idea to do it from a food historian who said either Thomas Jefferson's or George Washington's wife had written about one in a cookbook. I made two, one in a green cabbage (with cubed potatoes and white onions) and one in a red cabbage (with red onions, apples and rice). The red cabbage was my favorite of the two, but I did both without having to remove the leaves. I microwaved them each for about 15 minutes which wilted the whole cabbage and then very carefully peeled the leaves back slowly until I'd excavated enough of them to make a hollow in the middle for the stuffing. Then I rolled the leaves back up and popped it into a baking dish. It was wonderful and I might make it my regular New Years dish.
She was never happier than when she was speaking French.
Here's a hint…make cabbage rolls the non-French way. Much better and a lot less messy. That was a real lulu of a dish! LOL!
I used to watch The Show with my grandfather. He taught me how to cook. That's how I became uncle Chris. The food pantry cjeff.I'm in those days love you much grandpa and yes we're still buddies
is she…alright?
Right on the floor.
