  1. ..that JP cooking sketch takes me back to my childhood where my father introduced such delicacies as snails, legs of frogs, and even oysters…. it's psychological…. As adults we (perhaps) are more cautiously aware or afraid to try…so bravo to the children 👏👏👏…(That play-place in Angoulême looked like great fun for the kids 👍… amazing how even the chips and burger looked good 😋… Probably set the taste buds up for the surf & turf 🤭

  2. Brave kiddos. I could not get mind to try anything like that. I have had both in San Francisco. Not bad if you do not think too much or have a couple glasses of wine ahead of time. LOL

  3. Hi Rob another great video thank you Angeline and Robbie are so brave eating those frogs legs and snails yuk i am with you on that no wonder you spat them out the frogs legs especially looked horrible obviously they were to you, well done for trying them .

  4. Boing boing boing! Hope you saw the rest of the frogs leaving your house in their little wheelchairs ! We just loved this ep! Kids amazing, especially Robbie with the frogs legs and his police motor bike! 😂 oh and as for the escargot – wow full points to les enfants! 😅

  5. "Surf and Turf"😂 The kiddos are truly adventurous gourmands! (in the good French sense of the word.) My father made us try escargot at a fancy restaurant in Paris. I was just 13 and had braces on my teeth. The only thing I wanted to do was go and brush! Ugh… I think it scarred me for life.🤢

  6. If slo-mo goes, so do I! I enjoy the British humour, mostly (American, here). Great use of music cueing in your stories. Life has routines with excitement interspersed – exactly what people who yearn for French country life should expect. C’est parfait!

  7. No problem with frogs legs except perhaps the way they are 'harvested' in some perts of the world.
Snails are not my thing. I don't like the rubbery consistency – the taste is just butter and garlic (what isn't bad..)

Your kids are great!!! 👍 Robbie emptying the shell and asking for more! In 20 years, he will have a food channel on YouTube..

  9. Head over to Angoulême rugby club, top club in the second division, and Jonny May plays they. Great atmosphere and you’ll learn a lot about French culture.

  10. If you like the snail, the best place to buy is Leclerc, in the frozen section. You can buy by the kilo, they’re superb quality, you can’t do better in France.
