If you think about it, the dinner scenes with Tommy and Angela and with Tommy and Ariana are so similar and so different at the same time. Both Angela and Ariana blessed their meals, but Angela gave some weird prayer while Ariana silently prayed because she meant it. Both of them cooked ethnic foods but Angela was just trying to LARP as a foreigner while Ariana was actually cooking her family recipe. Angela complains on how they eat and expects gratitude and participation while Ariana doesn’t criticize Tommy for his spice tolerance or anything to do with the food, she only gets mad when Tommy is seemingly judgmental about her relationship with Cooper.
The curse of blue collar workers(especially drillers) the world over : alcoholism.I've personally only met or worked with only 3 drillers that would not drink alcohol.God surely blessed them!

Clearly the director/writer of this show doesn't know that most beer in the US is between 4-8% while most wine is 10-18%. I would know, I'm a REAL alcoholic and no I'm not proud of it.
I drink beer, but on ice. Makes it very cold and dilutes with water. People say I have a problem with alcohol. I drink, get drunk, fall down. No problem.
