  1. I’ve been watching your videos for 2 years now and I just ordered your cook book! Amazing content!!!

  2. Louis XIV was the Sun King. The definition of absolute power in Europe.

Then Louis XV was the little bitch king that lost the Americas, ruined France's economy and decided his best choice of Alliance in Europe was with France's arch enemy, Austria… He messed up the country so badly that it directly led to the French Revolution and the murder of his Grandson Louis XVI.

Poor Louis XVI, all he wanted was to be a locksmith…

  3. As some who hates onions, that looks like the seventh circle of hell to me. That said, I love your videos even if Id never try the food just for the history lessons alone.

  4. There is one way Louis could have invented it. He could have had a “holy shit I’m a genius” moment and told his cook to make the soup. He still came up with it, even if he didn’t physically make it.

  5. It looks very good but I hate the texture of obions 😅 I would try it if th eonions were blended.

  6. you know they say the onion is the best vegetable for you.👽🇺🇲📡🌒✨ History killing me softly Max with all that food.😂😂😂.

  7. This looks like the precursor of 'Sauce Soubise'. My friend's wife's family make the exact same preparation but uses it as a sauce for roast leg of lamb on 'dripping pudding'. It's like a Yorkshire pudding cooked under the roast to catch the meat juices. They'd then carve the leg over it and arrange the slices on top then the onion 'soup' on top. Very old fashioned English cooking.
