The Four Seasons Hotel George V represents Paris at its most refined, where your first espresso arrives like a diplomatic mission – silent, precise, and carrying centuries of French protocol on a silver tray.

Opened in 1928 with a $31 million investment from American businessman Joel Hillman, this Art Deco masterpiece stands in the Golden Triangle between the Champs-Élysées, Avenue Montaigne, and Avenue George V.
The hotel’s 244 rooms include 185 guest rooms and 59 suites, each designed by Pierre-Yves Rochon to blend classical French elegance with contemporary luxury.
The Penthouse Suite, commanding $26,000 per night, offers 360-degree views of Paris from its private terrace, complete with a carved marble bathtub weighing over a ton.
Jeff Leatham, the hotel’s artistic director, ensures 9,000 fresh blooms adorn the property daily, with the lobby alone sometimes hosting 14,000 flowers changed seasonally.
Six Michelin stars sparkle under one roof – Le Cinq’s three stars, Le George’s one star, and L’Orangerie’s two stars create an unmatched constellation of culinary excellence.
Below ground, 50,000 bottles of wine slumber in cellars where sommelier Eric Beaumard’s team turns wine pairings into poetry.
The hotel’s Rolls-Royce Phantom, commissioned with Hermès leather interiors, glides through Paris like a land-bound private jet.
Saudi Prince Al-Waleed bin Talal’s 1996 acquisition for $185 million, followed by $120 million in renovations, ushered in the modern era of excellence under Four Seasons management.
From World War II, when General Eisenhower called it home during Paris’s Liberation, to today’s ultra-luxury travelers, the George V remains keeper of nearly a century of Parisian high society’s secrets.
The staff moves with choreographed precision, appearing exactly when needed and vanishing when privacy beckons, while Les Clefs d’Or concierges make the impossible appear effortless.
Behind unmarked doors, private dining experiences unfold based on casual conversations, while discrete entrances and elevators enable certain guests to arrive unseen.
At the George V, true luxury isn’t about gold-plated excess – it’s about the quiet confidence of experiencing Paris’s finest.
What other legendary hotels do you think exemplify this level of refined luxury?

COMMENT: Have you visited Paris before – and in which neighborhood did you stay, or would stay?
I like it when the staff reads my unspoken wishes.

E uma loucura. Tem mármores Bahia nas pias e combinam com os descansos fãs camas.Ficou muito tempo fechado para hobras. Ao lado tinha uma agência do banespa. E parte do famoso triângulo de Paris. FRANCE.❤❤❤❤❤
Bonjour ❤❤❤❤❤❤
I had been offered a complementary stay (they did try and charge 50 per cent although graciously admitting their mistake). Breakfast had been included and was lovely (on the inner terrace). The Canadian waiter on hearing I had never tried to a cup of chocolate said I should try it. I found it much too rich, The food was delicious and all the male staff were 31 and ¼ and wearing very fitting trousers. Just slowing a glimpse of gluteus but nothing too Maximus. Shall I do it again and pay for it. You know I might just
How many people can I help with 1 night stay . The food you eat and will turn into poop . These people who were there will night help you stand before God the Creator . We are all accountable !
Just perfect 👌
Stayed on Ile de la Cite in a little hotel on the Place Dauphine which was the perfect location…pity it's not there anymore. Nothing like the George V but soooo memorable and romantic 🙂
a buffet breakfast here is 97 Euros, not that bad to be honest for what they call the best hotel in the world
The hotel breakfast quality and service are exceptional .
Been there twice to have afternoon tea with live piano music. Just exquisite!❤
Hotels and reataurants, are the imitations of the real life blue blood people did, and the common people did'nt. All the rituals are enfatic and ridiculous just because is an imitation
I can’t afford this luxury, but you jealous haters who can’t be guests, are petty and lash out about the speaker and about the images not matching exactly. So petty.
