French Onion Meatloaf Sandwich
Hands down one of THE BEST sandwiches I have not only ever made but also ever eaten! Using leftover French Onion Meatloaf slices!
Ingredients
Msvegan French Onion Meatloaf
Vegan mayo
Bbq sauce
Shredded cheese, preferably Field Roast Chao cheese shreds
Spring salad mix
Sourdough bread
Vegan butter
Directions
Spread each side of bread with a little butter
Heat non stick pan to medium
Place bread in pan
Cook for 1-2 minutes
Flip bread
To one side add vegan mayo and bbq sauce
Spread evenly
To the other side add shredded cheese
Cover and cook for 1-2 minutes to allow cheese to slightly melt
Remove lid
Add sliced meatloaf on top of cheese
Place other side of bread mayo side down on top of meatloaf
Cover and cook until golden and cheese is melted
Flip once
Remove from heat
Remove top bread and add a handful of spring salad mix
Return bread slice and slightly press down
Serve and enjoy!
French Onion Meatloaf
French onion meatloaf is a flavorful twist on classic meatloaf that incorporates the rich, savory flavors of French onion soup!
The absolute most delicious and Devine meal I have made in a long time! I have since made this dish over and over again and every time is more delicious than the last.
Ingredients
2 onions, sliced thin
2-12oz packages of impossible meat
1/2 bread crumbs
1/2 cup non dairy milk
2 vegan eggs, used 1/2 cup JUST egg
Salt and pepper
1/2 tbsp Italian seasonings
2 tbsps vegan butter
1/4 cup balsamic vinegar, plus a splash
8oz shredded smoked Gouda or shredded white cheese
Oil
Fresh parsley for garnish
Directions
Heat a large pan over medium heat
Add in a little oil
Add in your onions
Sauté for 10-15 minutes stirring often
Add in your butter and balsamic vinegar
Continue cooking, stirring often until golden and caramelized
Preheat oven to 350
In a large bowl add your breadcrumbs, milk, vegan eggs, Italians seasoning, splash of vinegar, salt and pepper
Mix well
Add in your meat and half your onions*
Mix well
Place meat mixture into parchment lined loaf pan
Press to form a loaf
Bake in preheated oven for 1 hr
Remove and top with shredded cheese and caramelized onions
Place under broiler for 1-2 minutes until cheese is melted
Remove from oven
Cool for 5 minutes
Garnish with parsley
Slice and serve

*after a few times making I found adding in 1/2-1 cup of shredded cheese into meat mixture before baking
