That's similar to the Amish caramel toast take bread and slice it thick, spread butter on it, pour cream to coat and then sprinkle brown sugar on top. Stick it in the oven and the cream gets absorbed and the brown suger and butter caramelizes together (I like to add cinnamon too). It tastes just like French toast but without the egg
